Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sell physical products that I've created using Tibbixel designs?
Yes, but the digital file itself may not be sold or shared. Only the physical product with the design applied is allowed to be sold.
What is the best way to prepare a PDF for laser cutting or CNC routing?
To ensure accurate cuts, save your design as a vector PDF (with paths and nodes intact) and set the PDF to "read-only" to prevent unintended modifications during the cutting process.
When using Inkscape, should I save my design as SVG or PDF?
Save your design as SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) if it's vector-based and you want to preserve scalability and editable elements. Use PDF for raster images that require fixed dimensions.
Will my DXF file be distorted when cut by the Cricut machine?
If your DXF file contains scaling or rotation information, it may be distorted during cutting. To avoid this, make sure to set your design to "No Scale" in Cricut Design Space before sending it to the machine.
